SmartTalent is currently seeking to hire a Shipping Clerk to grow into a Parts Manager role for a fast growing food and beverage equipment supply company in the Olympia, WA area.

PAY: $20 - $23/hourly

TITLE: Shipping Clerk/Parts Manager

LOCATION: Olympia, WA

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm

ABOUT THE JOB:

This is for a dynamic and fast-growing company seeking a reliable and motivated individual with a positive, can-do attitude to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone eager to grow and advance into a management position.

JOB RESONSIBILITIES:

• Build crates for shipping equipment using construction skills, including operating a nail gun, compressor, and saw.
• Pick and pull parts for order fulfillment.
• Operate a computer and shipping software for managing orders and shipments.
• Handle all facets of shipping, including managing warehouse flow and coordinating with freight truck services, FedEx, UPS, and USPS.
• Manage parts inventory and potentially take on purchasing responsibilities, evolving into a parts manager role.
• Deliver excellent customer service through strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and shipping processes.
• Maintain proficiency in MS Excel for tracking and reporting.
• Stand for several hours at a time and lift up to 75+ lbs.
• Learn to operate a forklift for warehouse operations.

Additional Requirements:

• Shipping industry experience is recommended but not required.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Physical ability to meet job demands.
