Maintenance/Groundskeeper needed for a private school in Charleston, SC! The ideal candidate would be friendly, diligent, reliable, focused, and have a “can-do,” positive attitude!

Hours: Monday-Friday, 10 am-6 pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform custodial, maintenance, and grounds-keeping tasks that ensure the care and upkeep of school property.
• Perform grounds maintenance activities, such as cutting, mowing, weeding, edging, blowing, planting foliage, and raking.
• Perform shrubbery and tree maintenance activities including pruning limbs, shaping hedges, and cutting branches.
• Perform structural maintenance activities including painting, moving furniture, cleaning, and making repairs.
• Perform cleanup of grounds and facilities, such as picking up litter, disposing of waste and debris, and cleaning surfaces.
• Assist with custodial duties and building maintenance and repairs as required.
• Operates various electric, gas, and powered tools and equipment including sprayers, mowers, blowers, weed-eaters, hedge trimmers, chain saws, or a Gator.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Make repairs within the scope of your abilities.
• Perform set-ups and breakdowns for campus-wide activities.
• Manage trash daily including the moving of trash, garbage containers, and recycle containers. 

Minimum Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Advanced education is preferred.
• Related experience is preferred but not required.
• This position requires the ability to operate standard custodial and groundskeeping equipment.
