Receiving Lead Job Description

Schedule:   TUE-SAT 6:30 AM-3 PM

Payrate: $20hr

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

· Leads the daily schedule for all receiving in the warehouse.

· Lead a team of 5 – 10 associates.

· Ensures that all employees are properly trained.

· Operates forklift equipment safely and efficiently to receive, handle, and store products by the company’s standards.

· Utilizes the scanning system to create accurate locations and perform accurate inventory transactions.

· Utilizes inventory system to receive inventory and move products between locations.

· Inspects inbound materials and products for damages, defects, and discrepancies; Promptly reports any issues to Quality and Leadership.

· Monitors productivity daily for the whole department and provides feedback.

· Conduct quality and process audits daily.

· Investigate and correct all inventory discrepancies.

· Performs vehicle safety checks and reports discrepancies to supervisor.

· Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping receiving areas and workstations neat, cleaning up aisles, picking up leftover pallets, sweeping the floors, keeping exits clear and free from obstruction, all equipment is stored at the end of shift and dock doors are closed.

· Execute end-of-shift checklist to enforce area standards.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma

· Warehouse experience

· Forklift experience is a plus.

· Good computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly

· Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems helpful

· Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

· Basic math skills with the ability to conduct cycle counts and complete inventory adjustments

· Good communication skills, both written and verbal

· Problem-solving and analytical skills

· Positive attitude and team player
