The Navigation and Sensor Systems organization is a growing business area developing the next generation of advanced military navigation systems. The Role: In this role, you will:
- Design simple to moderately complex printed circuit board layouts with digital, analog, RF, power circuits and interconnect applications
- Place and route components ensuring all electrical and physical specifications meet the specific design requirements for each PCB design
- Participate in design reviews, interface with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing and process engineers to design prototype and production quality printed circuit boards in accordance with BAE Systems’ standards and procedures
- Create fabrication and assembly drawings, parts lists and incorporate changes to existing design documentation
- Generate all output files required for the manufacture of boards and assemblies
- Create new and make changes to existing schematic drawings using Mentor Graphics Xpedition VX.2.12
- Create PCB layouts using Zuken CR-5000 version 19
- Work closely with Design Checkers, various engineering disciplines, designers and technical leads
- Provide feedback to design engineers as needed to ensure functionality and manufacturability of PCB designs
- Suggest options when faced with challenging PCB design situations including resolution to non-standard problems
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Education, Experience, & Skills - An Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree or higher and/or demonstrated experience and proficiency in printed circuit board design
- Must have at least 2 years of hands-on printed circuit board design experience
- Must have experience in Mentor Graphics Xpedition and Zuken software OR experience in other schematic capture and layout tool(s) with ambition to learn
- Strong communication skills for conveying technical information to leaders, engineers, checkers and peers
- Experience with incorporating engineering change orders
- Familiarity with comprehensive printed circuit board design process
- Work with a broader team, capable of communicating across functional boundaries
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- US Citizenship is required
- Must be capable of obtaining a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - An Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent
- CID or CID+ through the IPC Designer Certification Program
- 3+ years of experience in the design of printed circuit boards and flex circuit boards
- Experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition VX.2.8, Zuken CR-5000 version 19
- Experience using CAD tool constraint managers and have a solid understanding of Signal Integrity and Design for Manufacturing rules
- Experience with Dassault Systemes ENOVIA PDM
- Active U.S. DoD security clearance
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $56200 - $95500
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
