Footwear Design Intern, Girls Sport Division
The Footwear Design Intern will integrate their thorough understanding of Fashion Trends, Market Conditions, Consumer Expectations, Technologies, and the Manufacturing Process with their design excellence to assist in the development of the next generations of SKECHERS USA footwear products within the Girls Sport Division.
Job Responsibilities:
•
Collaborate with the design team to assist in creating innovative and stylish design concepts for our Girls division.
•
Create accurate CADS quickly and efficiently.
•
Conduct research on competitors’ top sellers, technologies, styling, colors, strategies, and pricing.
•
Interact with Merchandisers on all aspects of product line plans, briefs, color palette, pricing, themes, graphics, and strategies.
•
Work with developers / materials team to learn about materials, constructions, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications
•
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in fashion design, industrial design, graphic design, or related discipline
•
Ability to sketch shoes accurately and proportionately & provide detailed specifications.
•
Proficient in design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
•
Demonstrated interest in footwear design, fashion, and trends.
•
Anticipated graduation date is Winter 2024 or Spring 2025
•
Available to work on-site in our Manhattan Beach, CA corporate office
Pay range for this position is $25/ hour.
