Cleaning Technician
Salary $20.00 / hour
Reports to: Operations Director
Interacts with: Field supervisors, field repair maintenance, repair and cleaning crews
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
- Maintains Automatic Portable Toilets (APT) in San Jose area.
- Duties include but not limited to:
- Daily/weekly janitorial tasks such as cleaning and sanitizing APTs
- Light mechanical/electrical work
- Internal and external washing of APTs
- Removing graffiti, stickers and debris
- Display and adjust advertisement posters
- Replenishing of consumables
- Change of light bulbs
- Maintenance of functionality of the equipment
- Completion of daily work reports of each APT station
Environmental Conditions and Physical Demands:
- Extreme heat/ cold or odors
- Dust or Dirty Fumes
- Electrical Wires and/or Machinery
- This job involves manual labor, including lifting, carrying, standing/walking for extended periods and operating manual and/or mechanical equipment
Knowledge, Skill, Education Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to drive min 8hrs/day
- Strong geographic understanding of San Jose
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to working safely
- Good reliability, responsibility, and punctuality characteristics
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift minimum of 25-30 pounds
- High school diploma/GED
- Flexible schedule during winter months
