Job Description

We are currently looking for Certified Surgical Technologists available Mondays and Friday for PRN opportunities in our Atlanta, GA practice.

• Maintain sterile field while following proper aseptic technique
• Placing equipment and supplies in operating room and arranging instruments according to instructions
• Assisting team members to place and position patient on table
• Scrubbing hands and donning gown and gloves
• Maintaining supply of fluids for use during surgery
• Anticipating surgeon's needs, handing instruments and supplies to surgeon, holding retractors, cutting sutures, and performing other tasks as directed by the surgeon during surgery
• Putting dressings on patient following surgery
• Counting sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation, other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Active and Certified Surgical Technologist in NY
• 2+ years’ experience as a Surgical Technologist in ambulatory surgery center
• Reliable and positive attitude
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a stressful environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
