Animation Director at Meta in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Summary: Meta Reality Lab's mission is to build tools that help people feel connected, anytime, anywhere. Lifelike, interactive characters and worlds are an important part of this mission. As an Animator on the team, you'll be working with a talented group of industry professionals leading the industry in this emergent and creative space.This role will focus on the facilitation of real-time animation workflows and digital content creation while working with Researchers, Engineers, Tech Artists, and Artists. The ideal candidate can balance considerations for visual fidelity, interactivity and scalability. You will work in virtual reality, mixed reality, as well as 2D digital media to help convey ideas and solutions. Required Skills: Animation Director Responsibilities: 1. Create and push the craft of real-time and pre-rendered character performance. 2. Lead the animation pipeline for prototyping and visualization. 3. Help design animation systems at scale using the latest technology. 4. Collaborate with the creative team to pre-visualize and produce industry leading animation for a variety of platforms. 5. Work with cross-functional teams to advance animation with mocap, retargeting and tracking systems. 6. Give feedback and direction to vendors for animated content. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 7. 7+ Years of experience creating industry leading animation for games or real-time applications 8. Experience working with Body and Facial Motion Capture for animation creation. 9. Experience to author realistic and stylized motions. 10. Experience creating interactive animation systems.(eg. gameplay locomotion sets, state machines, animation blueprints). 11. Have worked and shipped an entire real-time production cycle (eg. AAA games). 12. Proficiency in Maya. 13. Proficiency in Unity or Unreal. 14. Have proven communication skills, experience receiving and offering feedback. 15. Independent and self managed while working collaboratively with a team. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: 16. Experience in motion synthesis with AI. 17. Experience with facial and body tracking technologies. 18. Proficiency in Motion Graphics production in After Effects. 19. Proficiency in Motion Capture Animation in MotionBuilder. 20. Proficiency in UE5 and Control Rig toolset.
